Lawrie & Symington, Forfar had forward  24 Prime Cattle and  Cast Cows and 770  Prime Sheep.

PRIME CATTLE

Bullocks (5) sold to 250p per kilo for a 633 kilo BB x from Nethermyres purchased by Falconer Family Butchers, Arbroath and to £1582 for the same animal to average 237.5 per kilo.

Heifers (14) sold to 256p per kilo for a 563 kilo Limousin from Nethermyres and purchased by J.B. Penman, Crail and to £1441 for the same animal to average 223.1p per kilo.

Prime Hoggs (702) sold to a top of 206p per kg for a 38.5kg Beltex from W. Stewart & Son, Newton of Inshewan and £89.50 for a 43.5kg from C.L. Wylie, Balbrydie to average 162.2p per kg (plus 3p). SQQ’s 171.1p.
