Lawrie & Symington, Forfar had forward 26 Prime Cattle and 479 Prime Sheep.

PRIME CATTLE

Bullocks (5) sold to 235p per kg for a 615 kilo Limousin from Gask and purchased by Fleming Butchers, Arbroath and to £1506 per head for a 655 kg Limousin from Nethermyres and purchased by the Firm of W.E. Fairlie, Letham to average 224p.

Heifers (20) sold to 249p per kg for a 596 kilo Limousin from West Bog and purchased by Fleming Butchers, Arbroath and to £1484 per head for the same beast to average 228p.

PRIME SHEEP

With only 354 Hoggs forward, trade was sharper on the week, in particular 39-44kg Hoggs, but heavier hoggs proved harder to cash. Hoggs sold to 202.3p for a 43kg Texel from Messrs D. Stewart & Son, Mains of Dalrulzion and to £89 for a 62kg Texel from the same home to average 169p (up 7.5p on the week).

Also forward were 125 Cast Ewes. With Trade similar on the week, top price of the day went to Gordon A. Mackie, Drimmie for a pair of Suffolk Ewes making £90.
