Lawrie & Symington, Forfar had forward 58 Prime Cattle and Cast Cows also 1177 Prime Sheep.

PRIME CATTLE

Bullocks (18) sold to 260p per kg for a 567kg Limousin from the Gask and purchased by the Firm of W.E. Fairlie, Letham and to £1540 per head for 604kg Limousin from Nethermyres again purchased by W.E. Fairlie, Letham to average 230p per kg.

Heifers (37) sold to 264p per kg for a 565kg Limousin from the Gask and purchased by R. Watt, Butchers, Forfar and to £1524 per head for a 600 kg Limousin from West Bog and purchased by the Firm of W.F. Stark, Buckhaven to average 231p per kg.

PRIME SHEEP

A larger show of 1048 lambs met an easier trade on the week for all classes. Lambs sold to 186.7p for a pen of 45kg Texels from Messrs D. Stewart & Son, Mains of Dalrulzion and to £90 for a pen of 51kg Texels from the same home to average 167.5p (back 7p on the week).
