Bullocks (21) sold to 256p per kg for a 581kg Limousin from Nethermyres and purchased by J.B. Penman, Crail and to £1590 per head for a 743kg Charolais from Gask and purchased by the Firm of W. E. Fairlie, Letham to average 220p per kg.

Heifers (23) sold to 256p per kg for a 592kg Limousin from Gask and purchased by Scott Bros., Dundee and to £1566 per head for a 658 kg Limousin from Craignathro and purchased by H. Black & Sons, Lanark to average 231p per kg.

Prime Lambs

With only 240 lambs forward, trade was slightly sharper on the week, in particular 39 – 44 kg Lambs. Lambs sold to 197.9p for a 47.5kg Beltex from the Firm of N. Caul Livestock, Balkello and to £94 for the same lamb to average 160.5p (up 3.5p on the week).

Also forward was 188 Cast Ewes and Rams. Ewes were cheaper on the week, especially over fat ewes. Blackface ewes would be £8 - £10 cheaper on the week. Ewes sold to £83 for a pen of Texel Ewes from James Orr, Foodie to average £44.41.
