Lawrie & Symington, Forfar had forward 49 Prime Cattle, and Cast Cows also 575 Prime Sheep.
Bullocks (11) sold to 248p per kg for a 613kg Limousin from Nether Myres and purchased by Fleming Butchers, Arbroath and to £1631 per head for a 722kg BDA again from Nether Myres and purchased by J. Chapman, Wishaw to average 224p/kg
Heifers (22) sold to 252p/kg twice, firstly for a 534kg Limousin from Nether Myres and purchased by Penman, Crail and also for a 537kg Limousin from West Bog, also purchased by Penman, Crail and to £1426 per head for a 607kg Limousin to average 229p/kg.

With only 338 lambs forward, numbers were short for buyers’ requirements leading to a sharper trade on the week. Lambs sold to 202.3p per kilo for a pair of 44kg Texels from Messrs D. Stewart & Son, Mains of Dalrulzion and to £92 for a 70kg Texel from Colin Wilson, Sidlaw View to average 160.5p (up 8.5p on the week).

Also forward were 181 cast ewes and rams with trade similar on the week. Top price of the day went to Mr Paul Simpson, Beech Wynd for a pair of Texel ewes making £86.50.
