Lawrie & Symington, Forfar had forward  30 Prime Cattle, Cast Cow and Bull also  709 Prime Sheep.

PRIME CATTLE

Bullocks (9) sold to 238p per kg for a 606kg Limousin from Nethermyres and purchased by Scott Bros., Dundee and to £1497 per head for a 684 kg Limousin from Nethermyres and purchased by the Firm of W.E. Fairlie, Letham to average 222p per kg.

Heifers (19) sold to 257p per kg for a 533kg Limousin from Nethermyres and purchased by J.B. Penman, Crail and to £1427 per head for a 618kg Limousin again from Nethermyres and purchased by Yorkes of Dundee to average 225p per kg.

PRIME SHEEP

A smaller show of 495 lambs were forward with all classes harder to cash, as seen at other markets across the country this week. Lambs sold to 193.6p for a 47kg Beltex from Messrs A. Barr & Son, Hallhill and to £91 for the same animal to average 152p (back 7.5p on the week).

Texel £90 Over Baldinnie, £88 Forthview; Cont. £88 Southtown of Melgund; Suff. £85 Southtown of Melgund; Belt. £82 Clochie.

Also forward were 214 Cast Ewes and Rams, with trade similar on the week.

Top Price of the day went to Messrs D. Stewart & Son, Mains of Dalrulzion for a pen of Texel Ewes making £84.
