Lawrie & Symington, Forfar had forward  33 Prime and 256 Prime Sheep.  

PRIME CATTLE

Bullocks (17) sold to 230p per kilo for a 598 kilo Limousin from Nethermyres and purchased by Falconer Family Butchers, Arbroath and to £1378 per head for a 621 Kilo Limousin also from Nethermyres and purchased by the Firm of W.E. Fairlie, Letham to average 208p per kg.

Heifers (16) sold to 240p per kilo twice, firstly for a 604 kg or £1449 per head Limousin from West Bog and also for a 522 kg or £1252 per head Limousin from Nether Myres both purchased by the Firm of J.B. Penman, Crail to average 222p per kg.

Due to the Scotsheep event, a smaller show of Sheep was forward.

Spring Lambs (94) sold to 234.9p for a Pen of 43kg Texel Crosses from Messrs H. Shanks & Co., Easter Cash and to £115 for a 50kg Texel from the same home to average 209.7p (plus 16.6p on the week)

Prime Hoggs (97) sold to 202.3p for a 43kg Beltex  Cross from Messrs Bruce Findlay, Easter Balgillo and to £100 for a 52.5kg Beltex Cross from the same home to average 140p (-21.7p on the week).

SQQ’s average 172.8p.
